About Us - Coaches
Ben Wisbey - Ben has a degree
in Applied Science, majoring in Sports Science and has over 8 years
of practical experience as an exercise physiologist. Ben currently
works for FitSense
Australia as a sports scientist and coach. Ben
has provided sports science services and training advice to a range
of elite and developmental athletes since 1997.
Ben is also an experienced coach, holding a Level
2 Triathlon Coaching qualification. Through years of coaching,
Ben has developed a wealth of knowledge about the best methods
of training for endurance sports and the best methods of implementing
this for both recreational and elite athletes..
During his many years of coaching, Ben has coached athletes from
junior to senior, and from age grouper to elite.
Ben has previously worked at the ACT Academy of
Sport as a sports scientist, and currently provides a range of
sports science services to elite and professional athletes and
sporting teams.
With the experience of coaching a range of athletes, Ben has shown
the great value that individual training programs can have on an
athletes development and performance.
During the past few years, Ben has written regularly for both Triathlon
& Mutlisport Magazine and Runner's World Magazine.
Liz Bennett - Liz has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a wide range of personal fitness training and coaching qualifications. She is currently undertaking a Masters in Sports Science (Strength and Conditioning).
Liz has extensive experience in the health and fitness industry, as both a provider of personal coaching services and as a writer/editor of various health, sport and fitness publications.
Liz is an accomplished runner herself having run over 20 marathons, including a PB of 2:59.
Liz recently completed a two year term as President of Fitness ACT, and is still an executive member of the Fitness ACT Board.
